WHO

The Cedar Grove Artists Alliance (CGAA), is a Cedar Grove-based nonprofit established in 2021, to foster a creative arts community. We are made up of people who are passionate about providing a safe haven for the arts, where culture can be fostered, promoted, and nurtured.

WHY

Art is important. Not only does it have the potential to make the world a better place, but it also has the capacity to add to communities by enriching environments and acting as a catalyst for the expansion of people’s perspectives and broadening their minds. Having unexpected pops of color, composition, structure, and design is good for brains and helps to build a communal identity. We are here to try to activate community pride and civic self-esteem by broadening the opportunity for the arts in Cedar Grove.

MISSION

Our mission is to be a beacon of support and belonging for all artists at all levels of their creative journey in and around Cedar Grove, NJ. We intend to promote advocacy for the arts and support for artists in the hopes of building a shelter for cultural vibrancy, expressive community outreach, and inclusive creativity through shows, performances, talks, and meetings.

HELP

Members of the public can join the CGAA Facebook page or sign up to receive our newsletter to stay up to date on artistic endeavors and volunteer opportunities in Cedar Grove. We are a new organization that has lofty goals, so we are always looking for other people who are passionate about the arts to help. So if you can offer help with fundraising, legal support, grant writing, accounting help, event planning, or public outreach, we would love to hear from you. And don’t worry, if you don’t fit into any of those buckets, we’d still love to hear from you. We’ll get creative on how you can help. It’s kind of our thing!
